Post Office Lane Lightbox Gallery Exhibition by local artist, Sara Walker, 2023

Post Office Lane Lightbox Gallery is a public exhibition space in Post Office Lane, Geraldton. Made up of eight (8) lightbox cabinets, the City encourages artists of the Midwest to submit a Lightbox Gallery Exhibition Proposal to have the opportunity to showcase their work in a public display space.

Successful applicants will be paid $1,200 (excluding GST). This should cover all costs related to the development and presentation of the work including the artist fees, materials and costs associated with digiting the artwork ready for print. The City will cover and organise the printing of the digital artworks on non-adhesive backlit film. The City's Public Art Team will install and deinstall the works, and the Artist may keep the prints at the end of their exhibition. 

This opportunity is open to artists of all ages and experience levels, as well as community groups or curators of group exhibitions. Applications must be submitted through the online application form by the closing date provided.

Celebrating Diversity by Siobhan Macdonnell (Pixel Kohai)

This collection aims to highlight some of the different types of mobility aids and medical devices used by individuals living with chronic illnesses, neurodivergence, and disabilities. By sharing these diverse experiences, we empower disabled individuals to feel recognized and valued while cultivating greater awareness and understanding within the community.
